April 26, what a beautiful
day. It was all we could ever ask for. The bride's maids
each wore different colors (same style): coral, Caribbean blue, fuchsia,
pineapple, kiwi, and taffy. I got the idea from my parent's
wedding. Mom used pastel colors for their wedding. As we
left the church rose petals were thrown and the whole wedding party
drove off on the fire truck. Most people tend to ask why not a boat, but
Mike is the fire chief of Wakonda. We worked for a week decorating
the legion hall. Since the bridesmaids were all wearing different
colors, I decided keep the hall elegant and white. Each table was
set with picture frames, floral boutiques, candelabras, and the places
setting. Silver chandeliers were brought in and hung, along with
large white paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Photos of
Mike and I were enlarged and hung on the walls along with white
lattice. My Dad rebuild two silver punch bowls and Mom attempted
to decorate my cake. We both failed. Mom, Dad, and Mike's
Mom spent long days helping us prepare for the big day. We love
you all for the support and help. |
